The-, report stated- that a i medical officer appointed hy the Council 'had-.n'o regognised. or' defined. status or .duties, : and-t-hese would have.to he. assigned to him; by the Council. His or decision would have no validity as .against a Government medical-officer-, or even, a .sanitaT}- inspector where these persons were ■ empowered to decide matters or take - action. His position would 'be .somewJiat anomalous, and therefore it was recommended no action be taken. The report was adopted.
