AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY PJ-UJ-*

THE SYDNEY CUP. WON BY PRINCE CHARLES. STDNET, April 17. The Australian Jockey Club's meeting Was concluded at Randwick to-day. The weather was line, and the course was in excellent condition. The attendance was estimated at 80,000. The racing proved intensely interesting. Prince Charles' C|ip victory surprised the spectators,' who failed to give the winner the customary cheer when returning to scale. Stern countenances to-day formed a marked contrast to Saturday's jubilant, note, indicating clearly the turn of fortune's wheel against spectators. New Zealand's lonely representative. Sol fanello. was a non-starter In "the FlyingHandicap. Tbe following are the details of the racing:— FLYING HANDICAP of lOOOsovs. Six furlpngs. J.
