P. AND T. DECISION.

SUPPORTED BY. A.S.R.S. IX DECISION TO JOIN ALLIANCE. The Auckland branch of the A.SJJ..S. met during the week and passed a resolution supporting the decision of the P. and T. Officers' Association to link up with the Alliance of Labour. GOVER.VMENT'vS NEXT STEP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The Government's action does not appear to have caused surprise among the officials of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, who supported affiliation with the Alliance of Labour. The executive of the alliance will be called together at an early date and tbe whole position will then be discussed. There seems to be no likelihood that the association will agree not to affiliate, and the next steps by the association and by the Government will be awaited with great interest.
