LONDON", March 27. "The injection of anti-pneumonio serunj, if made early enough, would result in the saving of practically every pneumonia patient," declared Dr. Cowan Guthrie, in a speech at the Royal Colonial Institute on the advance of medical science throughout the Empire. He specifically referred to Australian discoveries, mentioning that a Sydney doctor was the first to use Koch's tubercular treatment on scientific lines, and that an Australian doctor discovered the treatment of exophthalmic goitre by surgical removal of a email portion of the thyroid gland.
