GRAMMAR SCHOOLS BOARD.

RETIREMENT OF SECRETABY. In view of the retirement of the present secretary of the Auckland Grammar Schools Board, Mr. W. W. Kidd, the board decided at a meeting yesterday to call applications for a secretarvtreaeurer at a salary of £4SO per annum. It was also decided that the remainder of the staff lie given notice of the termination of their engagements from June 30, and that Mr. W. A. Gumming, architect for the board, be appointed supervisor of the board's property at an annual fee of £250. . It was further decided that the board pay to Mr. dimming the usual architect's commission on any new work upon which lie may be hereafter engaged as an architect. Regarding arrangements for assistance to the secretary, it was decided that the matter be deferred until after the appointment wae made.
