The Quantity of butter graded for export in the Dominion during March was 100,429 • cwt an increase of SJ per cent on March, 1921 Cheese graded totalled 181,505 cwt, an increase of 65 per cent. Total for eight months, 838,228 cwt butter; 1.074,421 cwt cheese; Increases, thirty and nine per cent respectively. PROPERTY SALES. Messrs. T. THE PRICE OP WHEAT. P — TIMAKU, this day. At a meeting of the Sonth Canterbury executive of the Farmers' Union Mr. J. Bltchener, M.P.. presiding, it was decided to ask the Government to guarantee a minimum price for wheat next season, the price to be not less than that for this year. It was also decided that the Government be heartily thanked for making a genuine able share of profits arising from the meat Industry by the formation of the Meat Control Board. AUSTRALASIAN BANKS. NEWSPRINT PRODUCTION OUTPUT. Production for Canadian newsprint mills for 1921 was 90 per cent of that of 1920. The United States mills did not do so well, turning ont only 76 per cent of the 1920 record. The secretary of the Pulp and ■Paper Association Is reported to have Btated that the paper mills of Canada will produce a million tons of newsprint during 1922. Canada could also produce 138.678 tons of board, 60,000 tons of wrapping paper, 55.C00 tons of fine papers, and 1,042,796 toni of pulp of various grades, a total annual tonnage of 2,300,000 tons. f
