ARMSTRONG'S RETIREMENT.
NO MORE BIG CRICKET. (Received 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. W. \Y. Armstrong was presented with a testimonial totalling £2,700 by Mr. Hughes in the Town Hall. Replying u> tributes, Armstrong definitely reiterated the statements that he is retiring from international and inter-State cricket. His criticism in England was meant for the best, but was taken by rniuiy for the worst.— (A.- and X.Z. Cable.)
