REDUCTION OF FREIGHTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following circular has been addressed by the Commonwealth and Dominion, Federal, New Zealand Shipping, and Shaw Savill shipping lines to their agents at all ports:—"Tallow ami pelts rates of freight are reduced from £7 2/6 per ton, pins 10 per cent, primage, to £6. plus 10 per cent, primage, from New Zealand to American, Canadian, and United Kingdom ports. This reduction has been decided upon as of vital assistance bo producers, and was strongly recommended by the Meat Control Board for this reason. Effective for shipments on and after Monday, April 3. Please advise shippers."
