ELLERSLIE PARISH SHOW.

The Ellerslie Parish Show was a great success, there being 5_7 entries. There was a large attendance in the evening. The vegetables shown were a credit to any district, an,/ were declared by good Judges to be one Of the best displays seen at any Auckland or suburban show. The Judge (Mr. UpßCoinbe) had a' difficult task in Judging many classes, more especially beans, onions, carrots and parsnips. The entries in fruit were not large, but the exhibits were good. The flower section was seriously affected hy the recem stormy weather, but some beautiful dahlias were exhibited by Mr. <P. O. Roy, Opaheke. and Mr C. 1.. Tuke, Ellerslie. The cooking section heavy entries, and the prize* : •were i Vtre;i distributed. Pre.-erves were exhibited for ilia first time at Ellers lie. and competition . was exceptionally keen. The exhibits were sold by auctionat close of show.
