He was speaking from the platform of the Philharmonic Hail to an audience of 1,200, when two Russian monarchists comn__.inced firing revolvers from the front row of the stalls. In an instant there was panic. Friends of M. Miliukoff on the platform tried to protect him. Others seized his assailants. M. Nabokoff, a former member of the Supreme Court of Russia, was shot when interposing his body to save M. Miliukoff. Six other people were wounded.—A. and N.Z.
