SATURDAY PARADES.
DETRIMENTAL TO SPORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANKJAMJ3, this day. At a. meeting of the Rugby Union last night the president strongly criticised, compulsory military parades on Saturday afternoons, which he said interfered with sport. If the Defence Department could not make soldiers of boys between the years of fourteen and twenty-one they should give up their jobs." A resolution was carried, '-That compulsory military training should cease at 21 years of age."
