CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE.
A GENERAL INCREASE. BIDDING VERY KEEN. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) CHIUSTCHUKCH, Monday. The fourtli and final wool sale of the season waa hold to-day, when 9034 bales were offere<l. The quality was very moderate, there being a large proportion of seedy and stained wool entered. The sale showed a distinct improvement on the February auction for all classes, the udvancee representing from par 1o three farthings and up to one penny in the case of good halfbreds. A clearance of from SO to 85 per, cent of the total catalogue was made. The bulk of the buying was done by Bradford representatives. A satisfactor3- feature of the sale was the animated demand for crossbred, it being easily the best coarse wool sale of the season. The competition of local mills was restricted to merinos and the best crossbreds. Bidding was throughput, remarkably keen, and considering the <iuality of the offering it was the most satisfactory sale of the present series.
