DAVIS CUP TIES.
AUSTRALIA'S FIRST OPPONENT. (Received 10.- a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The sub-committee of the Tennis Association cabled to Belgium that it proposes to play the first rounds of the Davis Cup at New York on July 20, and is awaiting approval. Belgium previously cabled inviting the. Australian team to compete in the world's hard court championships at Brussels.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
