REUNITED COALITION.
CONSERVATIVE ATTITUDE. TO SUPPORT LLOYD GEORGE. THE GENOA PROGRAMME. (By Cable.—Tress Association.—Copyright.) LONDON, March 21. "['lie special correspondent of the "Daily Chronicle" at Criccieth, Avhere Mr. Lloyd George is spending a holiday, gives an interesting resume of the political situation, evidently as a result of consultation with Mr. Lloyd George. The correspondent denies that there lias been a crisis between the Liberals and ConservatiA-es in the Cabinet. The crisis has been among the Conservatives. He admits that Mr. Lloyd George resigned and then AvithdrcAV his resignation, but the reason Avas the adoption of the Genoa Conference as the policy of the Coalition, which amounts to rciiHinntition of Conservative loyalty to the Coalition. Mr. Lloyd George regards the Genoa - Conference as the key to the future, and understands that the Conservatives make their attachment to this principle their main reason for asking him to continue Prime Minister. In his letter to Mr. Austen Chamberlain withdraAving hi} resignation. Mr. Lloyd George made three conditions: First, that the Irish settlement shall be carried through: second, that no reactionary policy shall be pursued; third. that Britain's foreign policy must aim at peace and the disarmament of Europe. This last ir- what Mr. Lloyd George means by his Genoa policy.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
