PREMIER AT TAURANGA.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TE PUKE, this day. The Premier, accompanied by iMr. K. 5. Williams, M.P., and the Hon J. BGow, arrived here at 1.40 p.m., having been delayed en route by deputations. A special train conveyed the party from Matata. They were met on arrival by Sir William Herries, the chairman of the town board ('Mt. A. 'Montgomery), Mr. Geo. Muir (managing director of Muir'e Gold Reefs), and a band. The first function is the opening of the war memorial gates at the local school by Sir William Herries. The party then proceeds to Muir's Gold Reefs, where the Premier will perform the official ceremon3* of opening the mine. He will 'be entertained at a banquet this evening and receive deputations to-morrow morning, leaving later for Rotorua en route for Wellington.
