THE ENGINEERING DEADLOCK.
LONDON, March 8. The council of the Amalgamated Engineering Union had a two hours' conference to-day with Dr. T. J. Macnamara, Minister of Labour. Afterwards the employers decided to meet the men's representatives to-morrow. The outlook is regarded as hopeful.—(A. and N.Z.)
