A great outing for the public and a field day for athletes is assured in the forthcoming military sports meeting to be held on the Domain on April 1. The arrangements are well forward, the strong committee in whose hands the success of the function rests having accomplished good work in perfecting a programme worthy of Auckland's best support. This committee comprises the following: —Pat Ton, the Mayor (Mr. J. H. Gunson, C.M.G.); president, Colonel H. K. Potter, C.M.G.: vice-presidents, Lieutenant-Colonel J. E. Duigan, D.5.0., Major J- A. Wallingford, M.C, Captains G. P. O'Shannessy. A. R. Gatland, J. A. Gamble, and Lieutenants F. Fagan and P. Smythe; committee representing all the sports bodies of the city, (Messrs. J. P.
