DAMAGED IN COLLISION.
THE SCHOONER ZTTiA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUROH, Tuesday. The auxiliary schooner Zita, which was in collision with the Maori early on Sunday morning, put back to Lyttelton to-night, ibeircg unable to make progress owing to heavy seas, adverse winds, and the absence of head sails due to the smashing of the jibboom. The damage caused 'by the collision is rather extensive. The jibboom was "broken in two places, the port -bo above the deck smashed for a distance of 30ft, a small deckhouse shattered and the starboard how store in for about 12ft. Below, the ship is quite sound and has not made any water. Repairs will 'be carried out at Lyttelton.
