HON. C. J. PARR IN AUCKLAND.

The Hon. C. J. Parr. Minister of Education and Public Health, arrived in Auckland to-day, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. P. G. Matthews. This morning the Minister was interviewed by Professor A. P. W. Thomas, chairman of the Auckland Grammar Schools Board of Governors, with reference to matters in connection with the hoard and the new boys' school at Mount Albert. He was also seen by the Hon. George Fowlds (chairman of the Auckland University College Council) and one of the members, Dr. T. W. Leys, m , regard to the new arts building which is to be erected on mc southern portion of the Metropolitan Grounds. The Minister was present at the luncheon given by the Methodiets in the Town Hall to celebrate Methodism's Centenary. Mr. Parr will remain in Auckland until to-morrow evening when he will leave by the express for Wellington.
