SUICIDE WHILE DEPRESSED.
SOLDIER-I\ARM2R'6 DEATH. The circumstances connected with, the death of a farmer, William Dudley Foley, at Dairy Flat, on Monday, were revealed at an inquest conducted yesterday by Mr. G. W. Funke, J.P. The deceased left his brother in the field to dress to meet his irife, who was returning from Auckland, when the brother heard a shot from the house, and found deceased lying dead on the floor, with a discharged shotgun in his hand. He was a returned soldier, and at the time of taking his life wae passing through a state of intense depression due to woosds received at the war. The verdict was in accordance \rith the facts revealed.
