I/DNDON, January 29. The scores at the close of yesterday's play in the match of 16,000 up between C. McConachy and T. Recce were: — Reejcc (scratch ) 6,660 McConachy (rec. 1,000) .. 6,117 Recce made breaks of 321, 175, and 139; and McConachy breaks of 294, 224, and 191. After falling behind daily since Monelay, M. lnman, who is playing a match of 16,000 up against Newman, recovered 600 arrears yesterday with breaks of 432, 398, 364, and 219. Other breaks during the week included 494, 277, ajid 195, and the present scores are: Newman 6,410, lnman 3,600. Newman is giving a splendid display of all-round play. His best breaks in the week were 651, 535, 44.1, 305, 337, 320, and live others over 200. With a break of 765, Falkiner passed Smith in a match 16.000 up. the scores being: Falkiner 8,000, Smith 7,207. • Smith was SOO ahead of Falkiner on '. Monday.
