PAINTER'S SUICIDE.
HANGED IX HIS HOitE. A sad domestic tragedy occurred in Wellington on Friday, when Ja-mes John O'Donosrhue, a painter. 33 years of a<:o, a marrie.d man with three little children, hanged himself in his home at 131, Kclhurn Parade. It appea-re that O'Donoghue cam<> home about 4 p.m.. and after his wife questioning him about his la.te.ness. a? she had expected him! earlier, she went out into the back yard. Half an hour later Mrs. O'Donoghue re-entered the house and found husband expended from the ha.ll arch with a cord'round his neck. A neighbour, \ who was hastily summoned, out down ; the body, and when Dr. Anderson arrived in response to an urgent call he pro-' nounced life extinct. The remains wereremoved to the morgue. An inquest will be held.
