New South Wales requires a substantial margin to win the shield. Victoria in the first innings made 2fio runs. O'Keefe scored 87, Sandtord 48, Hartkopf :i4, and Lainpard 2!l. O'Keefe, after several narrow escapes, played carefully, his score taking 207 minutes to compile.
