WOOL SURPLUS.
SHOULD VANISH BY END OF TEAR. STILL 390.000 BALES OF BAWRA. (Received 10.30 a.m.! MELBOURNE, this day. A statement issued by the chairman of the Wool Realisation Association shows that in the past year, including the NewZealand carry-over wool, which was almost wholly crossbreds,- the disposals the Bawra offerings totalled 139,000 1 bales. The stocks in hand on bhc Ist of January totalled 634,000 bales, including 37,000 of greasy crossbred, 126,000 of ! slipes, 128.000 of scoureds. There arc still 399,000 bales of Bawra wool in the Commonwealth, which it is proposed to ship at the rate approximately of 30,000 bales a month. It is expected that the whole will be consigned by the end of the year.— (A. and S.Z. Cable.) GOOD CO-EPETTX-ON.i LONDON, January 26. At a' sale of free and BawTa wools to-day there was pood general competition. Crossbreds and slips were firm, and prices were unchanged.
