NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS.
MR. BAGNAXX RE-ADMITTED. FARMERS DISAPPROVE OF COALITION. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Mr. W. Killeen, president of the Farmers and Settlers' Association, states that numerous letters and telegrams have been received from branches, the members disapproving of the coalition of Progressives and Nationalists. Such action, it is believed, would play into the hands of extremists, as voters desiring a mid-course between the Nationals and Progressives are now driven to abstain from voting. Mr. R. C. Bagnall has been re-admit-ted to the National party. In a letter to Sir George Fuller he stated that he acted in the best interests of the State, but upon mature reflection, saw that his action was prejudicial to those interests. He admits it was an error of judgment, and expressed sincere regret. He adds an assurance of loyal support in future. The Assembly, after an all-night sitting, adjourned till January 3, when Parliament will be prorogued. The Estates Appropriation Bill, Loan Estimates, and Loan Authorising Bill were 1 passed. ' Ex-Senators ?4J3ougall al1( l Grant, and the Hon. P. McGirr, Legislative Councillors, have been selected as 1 Labour candidates for the next Senate elections.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
