CROWN PRINCE NOW REGENT. (Kc'pived 12.30 p.m.) - TOKYO, September 25. The Crown Prince Riroliito has been appointed Regent of Japan, with Count (liiiul.a as his medical adviser.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
Tlic Mikado of Japan, Yoshihito, who succeeded in July. 1012. is 42 years of ago. For some time he lias been in very indifferent health, and it is believed that hi* brain has $ become affected, though Japanese newspapers have long been prohibited from milking any reference to his health. The appointment of a regency has been suggested for some months, and wan evidently postponed to enable Hirohito to make his recent world tour.
