HASTINGS MEN WTLL WORK
DEADLOCK AT GISBORNE. NiAPIER, Tuesday. A meeting o-f freezing workers at Hastings to-night decided to commence work when ca.lled upon. Two of the local works will open to-morrow and the third on Monday. GLSBOKXE. this day. Following upon a meeting of directors of the Kaiti Freezing Works, the chnir-j-rnan, Mr. C. A. DelatoUT. made the folI lowing statement to a reporter:—"The 'directors decided that os work -was pro|vided to-day at the Kaiti factory, at the ! rates ]>a\-.tbk> last season to meet the alleged unemployment, and no ; labour offerer]. a.lth.oujjii sheep llfld been -brought in, the works will not be o.pened again at present."
