ADVANCE OF THE UKRAINIANS
SOVIET GRANARY IMCPERILLEIV KAKELIANS TAKE OLONETZ (By Cable.—rress AesOfiation.— CopjrisM.) COPENHAGEN, November 22. Three rebellions are proceeding against the Russian .Soviet. Government. In consequence of the progress of the Ukrainians the Bolsheviks have evacuated the whole of the Dnieper line. The outbreak in Tcliernigoff threatens the Bolsheviks' retreat from KiefT. Thi' Kacrlian rising lias reached Olonetz, where thousands of Bolsheviks have born massacred. A correspondent of the ''Daily Triegraph" points out that the Ukrainian revolution will be fatal to the Soviet Government if successful, as the Ukraine is the only region from which the Soviet Government can obtain grain for its army, factory operatives, and official?. The .Soviet authorities have already crdcred the severest measures against the peasants, from whom they are demanding ;i million tons of grain. The peasants arc exasperated at the prospect of a repetition of previous punitive expeditions and merciless exactions, in which the last gTain reserves are commandeered. — (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
