"RED" DEMOBILISATION.

SOVIET FORCE REDUCED. NO FOOD FOR TROOPS. (By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright.) HELSUSTGFORS. October 20. Extensive demobilisation of the Russian Red army is proceeding. A complete reorganisation and reduction of the standing army to a peace footing of 4.10,000 has been decided on. Soviet figures show that the Red army in January last numbered 4,000,000. On August 1* last it had been reduced to 1,700,000. Official motives for the reduction are the assurance of peace -with Poland and the impossibility of feeding masses of unproductive soldiers.—('Times.")
