INVOLVED TRANSACTION.

COMPLICATED MORRINSVILLE CASE. (By Telesraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A lengthy and Involved claim over a certain boardinghouse and land transaction at Morrinsville and Okoroire came before Mr. Justice Stringer for the second time at Hamilton yesterday. The plaintiffs were John Coombridge, William John Eynan and Robert Kempster, settlers, of Morrinsville, and defendants Albert Bowers and James Bowers, settlers, and Albert Brown Durie, solicitor, of Morrinsville. Plaintiffs the Court to declare sales by Coombridge to Brown Durie and Albert Bowers void, and that the caveat lodged against the title to a boardinghouse in Morrinsville be removed; that the Court decree that Brown Doric should forthwith deliver up the agreements concerned, and that Eynan's equitable right to an assignment of Coombridge's interest in the boardinghouse should be entitled to priority. Eynan claimed £300 damages and Kempster asked for £1450 in the event of Eynan's title to the boardinghouse being upheld by the Court, and in any case for £500 damages against defendants, James Bowers and Brown Durie. After a long consultation between the parties a settlement was reached whereby Eynan receives a substantial sum as compensation for damages sustained; Kempster obtains a. title to the boardinghouse, and defendants pay plaintiffs' costs.
