A WAIROA SENSATION. j STOREKEEPER BADLY I- INJURED. > I i 1 (By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WAIROA, Hawke's Bay, this day. On receipt of information last evening i that a storekeeper at Opoutama named George Sissons bad been shot without fatal results, Sergeant Wade proceeded to the scene and found that Sissons had been shot in the back and band and bore marks of eighty-eight pellets, number four shot., showing that Sissons had come out and Vns closing the door when he was shot., He did not see his assailant. ' The police are reticent, and certain aspects of the ease are being investigated.
