The case came ■ before his Honor Mr. Justice Adams. Mr. iJohnstonc said that when the ■ wallpaper in question arrived at Auek- ; land from New York in its alleged dam- - aged condition it was put up for auction, ; and although its value in good order was -. £131 it only realised £20. The balance • was the amount claimed from the defeni dant shippers. i The defence was a denial of liability. (Proceeding.)
