Serious rioting was renewed in Dundee last night, when shop windows were smashed for a distance of three-quarters of a mile. The police baton charges ultimately dispersed the mob. whicli split into small parties and went to Loehce and other districts, and continued the I destruction of windows. All the police ■ force was employed and also specials. I Thousands of unemployed from Sunderland invaded the business centre of the town while the leaders were interviewing the Board of Guardians. Part of the huge crowd came into conflict with the police, who were compelled to use their batons. Five unemployed were taken to the hospitai.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
