HUNGARIAN ROYALISTS.
A RESTOKATION PLOT. ARMED BANDS IN REVOLT. (Received 2..10 p.ni.l LONDON, .September 5. Budapest newspapers report shooting and plundering in the Western provinces ■by well-equipped Hungarian irregular bands, aimed with machine guns. The Royalist flag was raised at Szombathely, which was the centre of a plot to restore Karl to the throne. The plotters have instituted a campaign of terrorism in the Western provinces. The Austrian police are powerless, and retreated after the Hungarians had seized a number of Austrian officers. It is reported that the ex-Em-peror Karl is being urged to make a dramatic entry into the scene of the disorders.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
