The Auckland Master Hairdressers met last evening for the purpose of furthering the movement for the establishment throughout the hairdressing trade of a Saturday half-holiday. Mr. R. Richardson presided over a fair attendance. A motion in favour of the proposal was passed, and a sub-commit-tee appointed to gather and place evidence in regard to the proposal before the Arbitration Court. The promenade displays at the M. and C. Store, between 7 and 9 o'clock this evening, provide a unique occasion for viewing the authoritative style and colour, changes in apparel, and fabrics for the new season. —Milne and Choyce, Ltd.—(Ad.)
