WAIKATO STOCK SALES. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd.. Hamilton, supply the following market report, dated September .•:— Beef.—Good supplies have been marketed, but values have again declined: 30/ for prime oi seems to be the standard of butchers' operations, and judging by the amount of beef offering it seems nrnnsc to anticipate much better treatment. Mutton.— Yardings in general have been small, and values liave remained fairly steady. Considerable stocks are, however, being held, and any marked advance seems improbable. Store cattle are now finding their way to the yards in greater quantity, but meeting unfortunately with no better receprion: indeed, the wWole position is alarming in Hβ bearing upon the cattle-raising industry and "breaking in" of virgin country. It may safely be assumed that no male cattle WiJI be reared in the dairying districts this season. Females, on the contrary, are in strong and increasing demand. both well and ill-grown meeting with ready sale in all markets. Store sheep show little variation front our laet report. There is very littlu Inquiry and but little offering. Dairy cattle still pursue their triumphan' course. Cows and heifers at profit or clns, thereto are in strong and constant demand. Pigs.—Latest returns indicate Improvement in bacon pip* and porkers. Stores and weaners have advanced by leaps am! bounds. Ilorees. —N« sales have been conducted since our last report.
