COAL MINES DISPUTE.

REFERRED TO ARBITRATION. r.YIOX'S INDIFFERENCE. The Conciliation Council met this morning under the presidency of the Conciliation Commissioner. Mr. T. Ilarle <:Ues. u> hear the dispute filed by the Taupiri Coal Mines, Ltd., and the Pukeiniro Collieries. Ltd. The for the coal companies wore Messrs. -Tae. Bishop (Taupiri Coal Minrs. Ltd.). Thos. Thomson (Waipawa Railways and Collieries. Ltd.). and Mr. K. S. Wight (PukemiroCollieries. Lid.) Mr. T. c>. Riehop. secretary of the Coal Mine Owners' Association, appeared as advocate for the coal companies. There I was no apnearanee of assessors for the various tini inrt.
