BATHS AT THE COALPITS.
DEMAND BT MINERS. NEW NATIONALISATION CRY. ! LONDON, August 18. The conference of the Federation ot Miners at Llandudno has unanimously passed a resolution demanding nationalisation, "as the present settlement is an unacceptable substitute of the. ultimate goal." It was agreed to instruct the Labour Parliamentary candidates to make it a special plank at tine elections, and also ]to demand a fortnight's paid holiday yearly, a general holiday on Boxing Day, and an amendment of the Coal Mines ; Act, making the mine owners instal baths at the pitheads. The. miners postponed a resolution in I favour of a thirty-ihoure week, owing , to tie economic situation.
