In the two previous trials last May the jury failed to disagree.-* The Crown Prosecutor, Mr. V. R. Meredith, stated that the accused was employed by Collins Bros., and that the case for the Crown was that another employee named Peake, who had been I sentenced on certain charges, had cup- ■ plied de Lucca with the articles in ques- ! tion. When Peake's admissions had been i read over to the prisoner he had agreed that the facts were practically all correct. The case for the Crown was concluded thia forenoon.
