NEW ZEAIAND REQUIREMENTS "GET ALL WE WANT." (By Telc ? raph.Z^ s Asßoclatlojn ' \ WELLINGTON, this day. ' - "I am quite satisfied we all we want/ declared Mr. A V Rodgers. chairman of the Southland Electrical Power Board, who returned to-day from a financial mission to Eng« land. He was not prepared to disease this aspect further until he had communicated with the Power Board and ascertained the conditions in New Zealand. He found conditions bad in Eng* land, where in any centre one coul(* find thousands of unemployed lined u£ waiting for daily doles. Things were not much better in America and' Canada, '"The only hopeful thing about it,* remarked ifr. Rogers, "is that all count tries are equally badly off owing to i lack of outlets for their trade. Thr question will have to be solved by 3 united effort. Things will right them* selves in time.' - if large, order? for machinery which have been plared by New Zea* land in England were lUccly to be quickly; delivered. Mr. Rogers said: "There ia absolutely no difficulty, now the coal strike is over." He was not snrprised to hear of the success of Xew Zealand's loan flotation. "I believe,' , he said, "that the Premier expected to have to wait until August 30. He has ddao better than he anticipated. There is no portion of the Empire which stands better than New Zealand in the. financial world. The reason is that we carried on during the war without jroing upon. the English market for money, while the administration of affairs here i 3 looked upon as being good. -.
