IMMIGRANTS BY PAPAROA.
TOTAL OF 133 ARRIVE. SIXTY-TWO NOMINATED. ~~ Among the 314 passengers who ijriverl by the Paparoa from London and Southhampton yesterday afternoon 133 were immigrants. These included 02 nominated by friends in Xcw Zealand, 30 under the Imperial Government's Overseas Settlement Schemes, and 45 domestic* under the charge of Miss E. E. Ifemington. Mr 11. D. Thomson, Undersecretary of Immigration, and his etaff, who met the now arrivals, supplied them with N T ew Zealand notes in exchange for the English, over ,€ISOO being converted in this manner. Of t!ie total arrival by the Paparoa 100 have come to Auckland. Of the remainder 128 arc destined for Wellington; 21 for Lyttelton, 17 for Port Chalmers, 0 for Napier, S for Gisborne, 7 for Timaru. and .'J for Oamaru. Laflt night's express for Wellington took away 150 of the newcomers for the South.
