Ohinemuri Mines.— The Silvprstream crosscut has been extended a furt'Jer 15ft and is now in 4!!S*'t. The new reef referred to in last report is still being penetrated, with no footwall showing, and is composed of bands of quartz and mullock intermixed. The country Is favourable for carrying, values, altbtrug-h so far values have not beeu met with. Horseshoe Mines.—A further distance of 6ft has : been driven north on the * Horseshoe reef, making a total distance of SOft from the flat sheet. The reeif still maintains its size of about Sin. the Sianguigwail of the reef its a little soft and but the country generally is very heaiily mineralised. Rising .Sun.—The sha-f; has 'been deepened to oSf t, and timbered to within Sl't lof the bottom. The reef is 10in wide, value being £4 2/, and i'l 11/6 from assays taken 54ft down. A good dieal of water is making, as much as 20ft to 25ft from 13 at night to 6in the morning. The big pump is now working very sat-fefaetorUy. Xonpareil.—During the week the winze on the Waio'tahi-Cain'bria reef has been sunk a further distance «f oft. On the hangini:wall rib of stone ttie quartz and also the : country in tlhe ibori'oui appears to be improving. HAURAKI MINES. A LITTLE PICKED STOKE.
