HOCKEY SHIELD.
THREE CHALLENGES DECEIVED. The New Zealand Hockey Association has. so far. received challenges for tbe shield iroiu three centres —Canterbury, Nelson, and Wellington. Probably Canterbury will make tuc first attempt to wrest tho shield from Auckland. .Nelson follows, and theu Wellington will come north, it the shield remains here.
