KING'S BIRTHDAY GALA. DiRAW FOR C'OMFETITIOIN. The Auckland Football Association met on Tuesday In the Sports Club, H.M. Arcade, wihen final arrangements were made for the "King's Birthday matches and abso the usnal weekly fixtures. It was decided that the two matches, Philomel Senior v. Re»rt of Auckland, and Philomel Junior v. Junior Reps, be played on the North Sbore Club's ground on Friday, the junior match to commence at 1.15 o'clock as a curtain-raiser to the big event. MrJ. Ball will control the game, while Messrs. Leddy and Braithwalte will officiate ns linesmen. The principal match will commence at 3 p.m. sharp, and will be under the control of Petty Officer J. Thompson, with Messrs. Robinson and Campbell as linesmen. It was ] regretted that it would not he possible to grant their request, as all local teams were already engaged in tie A.F.A. fixtures. North .Shore Senior and Huntly will nlay treir pom-petition game on .Tune .3. instead of Saturday, and a junior team will also visit Huntly on thnt date, when Huntly are playinc benefit matches in aid of the Waikato Hospital funds.
