Leigh and Kawau, 6.45 p.m. KING'S BIRTHDAY. Friday, June 3, the anniversary of the Birthday of His Majesty the King, will be observed as a holiday. On Thursday evening, June 2, a delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) will be made over the postmen's counter from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All malls usually dispatched on Friday will close at 7.15 a.m., with the exception of malls for Southern Offices of New Zealand by Main Trunfc express, which will close as usual at 5.30 p.m. Late fee letters for Southern Offices of New Zealand may be posted In the late fee letter box at the Railway Station entrance up to 6.55 p.m. Street posting boxes will be Cleared at midnight as usual.
