' A. B. DONALD, LTD. A. B. Donald, Ltl.. report as follows:-. Apples and pears are coming forward in lesser quantities than last week, and consequently prices for best lines have firmed. Tomatoes are at very low rates, due to the heavy consignments from Wellington, but these are about finished, and prices are sure to firm. Cape gooseberries areabout on par with late rates, the demand not being so keen. Grapes are exceedingly scarce, and a consignment of fifty cases from Sydney has arrived in good condition, and sold readily at 21/ to 25/ box. There is a very heavy call for fresh eggs, and prices are very high. Despite the fact that two Southern boats arrived with potatoes, which were in mixed condition, the local potatoes are selling at very high prices. Pumpkins are slow of sale, but citrons find ready buyers. Watermelons are not in demand, while a keen Inquiry is being made for pickling onions, whilo the local supply of anions are realising from 7/ to 7/6 for choice quality. We quote sales as follows: —Apples, choice 9/6 to 11/6. cookers S/6 to 9/9: pears. W.C. 10/ to 13/, cookers 6/ to 7/; passions, 4/ to 5/3; Cape gooseberries. 71d to 84d; tomatoes, choice 2/ to 3/. others 1/ to 1/6. Bananas scarce; Fiji boat due Monday. Oranges. Island, about finished: repacks. 28/ to 31/; oranges. American, 33/ to 42/6; grapes, hothouse, to 2/7 lb; grapes, Sydney, 21/ to 25/ box. Produce: Potatoes. Rangitikei 8/ to 8/3, local 7/6 to S/: onions 7/ to 7/6; picklers, ljd to lid; pumpkins, 4/ to 0/; citrons, 5/ to 5/6: eggs, 3/11 dozen.
