IN THE LAST MATCH. SOUTH AUSTRALIA OUT FOR 195. ADEL-AIDK, this day. The last match of the English cricketers' tour, England v. South Australia, opened to-day in perfect weather. The attendance was poor at the commencement, but increased during the day. Smith, the South Australian captain, won the toss and opened the batting with Harris, a colt. Play was desultory. Fender took the first wicket when the score had reached 73, bowling Harris for 40. Smith was caught by Howell oil' Parkin after a stolid innings •„f 103 minutes, in which he scored 4.>. Fallowing the dismissal of Power for 7, Richardson and Rundell infused brightness into the game. Rundell, after scoring 20, missed a fast one from Parkin, which got his stumps. Jose had a short reign and was caught at slips i by Russell for Hi. Richardson, shaping well all round the wicket, scored Hi off Parkin. Murray, when four, returned a straight one back to Fender, which was accepted. Loveridge was caught byDouglas at short-leg for three. Fender made short work of Moroney and Williams. Richardson, on reaching 4(5 in faultless style, was run out. He batted for 73 minutes, and made five four 6. In attempting the last run he ricked his back. The South Australian innings closed for 195. Hobbs and Rhodes opened for England. Hobbs had hardly settled down when he hit a high one to fine leg, and McKenzie, fielding for Richardson, took the catch. I—lß. Russell joined Rhodes, and the pair played havoc with the Ibowling, and brought up 100 on the board in 75 minutes. When the stumps were drawn for the day England's score was 128 for one wicket.
