GREATER GREECE.
STANDING BY THE TREATY. LONDON, March 0. The Greek and Turkish delegations attended the Allied conference at ht. James' Palace to-day. M. Calogeropoulos, the Greek Prime Minister, anr.e.ineed that the Greek Nit'onal Assembly had considered the Altips' proposal regarding a commission oi inquiry to divide the disposition of Smyrna and Thrace and liirt unanimously pronounced against it. The dispatch of such a commission would be equivalent to Greece's surrender (if rights definitely established by the endless sacrifices of the Greek nation which the Treaty of Sevres consecrated. Tile proposal amounted to asking Greece to bind herself beforehand." The Turks later admitted that they agreed to an inquiry and that the Angora National Assembly would he ready to accept other provisions of the Treaty of Sevre.s provided (that they were adapted to the conditions indispensable to the existence of Turkey.— (A. and N.Z.
