THREE PERSONS DROW>*ED. (B7 Telegrapn—Press Association.) ' WAJNGAINTTI, this day. Three dro-wning fatalities occurred during the week-end in the vicinity of Wangaira:. On Saturday afternoon a boy named Alfred Edward Waterhonse was drowned in the river. The body was recovered two hours later. On Sunday morning a man named Alfred Edward Booth was drowned in Wangaehu River, near Mangamaiu, while bathing. He got ont of bis depth, and was unable to swim. A companion 1 named Ferguson recovered his body five I minutes later, but respiration efforts ! were unsuccessful. Deceased, aged 20, \ was a native of England. A Maori boy. P&trxk Paki, was drowned in Lake Ratana yesterday. The body has not been recovered.
