The weather \v.u fiiw but overcast, and the wicket wa, rather bumpy at limps. Wanganui win tie toss, and sent the visitors in. At ljikhoon they had lost one wicket for j H.S runs. The innings closed for '.iTS Forssberjr batted vigorously for 69 in :>8 minutes, including four sixes and nine fours. Dr. Bogle scored 07, giving two chances early in his innings. Holland bowled most successfully, coming out with an average of six wickets for 00 runs. AVanfjanui opened disastrously, and had lost seven wicket? for Iβ runs when stumps were drawn for the day.
